History of a Journal

The journal was established in 1997 by Marko Snoj and Marc L. Greenberg. Until 2011, the publishers were ZRC SAZU, Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language and the Hall Center for the Humanities, University of Kansas. In 2011, Kozma Ahačič and Grant Lundberg took over the editorship, and Brigham Young University replaced the Hall Center as a co-publisher. In 2024, alongside Grant Lundberg, Mija Michelizza assumed the role of co-editor. Several members of the editorial board were replaced, and the journal's advisory board ceased its operations.
