Author Guidelines

The recommended length of papers is 16 standard pages (i.e. 30,000 characters including spaces), whereas in-depth articles may also exceed this limit if agreed by the editors. Reports should be up to 5 pages long, while presentations or reviews of linguistic works should be up to 10 pages long.

Original texts should be submitted to the editors as Microsoft Word documents using the Times New Roman or ZRCola fonts (10 points); the latter is recommended when special linguistic characters are used and can be accessed through a free input system ZRCola at the following webpage: https://ZRCola.zrcsazu.si.

Texts should be submitted in electronic form using the OJS system found at the following webpage https://ojs.zrc-sazu.si/jz. Texts containing special linguistic characters should also be accompanied by a PDF version of the article. All contributions begin with abstracts in English and Slovenian, which are up to 5 lines long, and followed by 5 keywords. The summary (up to 15 lines) of Slovenian articles is written in English, whereas articles written in languages other than Slovenian are followed by a summary in Slovenian and should be submitted in the language in which the article is written (the Slovenian translation. When providing citations and references, authors should follow practices used in previous issues of Jezikoslovni zapiski.

Editors may proofread articles and make corrections (that do not alter the content of articles) without consent of the authors.
