Abstract

The paper deals with Škrabecs attitude towards the Slovene-German dictionary by M. Pleteršnik. Škrabec wrote about this dictionary when Part One was issued, and when the dictionary was completed. He quoted this dictionary on several occasions so as to confirm his views on the Slovene literary language, for example in the articles about the spelling book by Levee, the grammar book by Janežič, the Italian-Slovene dictionary by Valja vec, and in the articles about teaching of the Slovene language.
