This article discusses the names of colours in the Istro‑Romanian dialects of Istria. In addition to 14 chromonyms, selected terms connected with specific colours are analyzed. The vocabulary was collected over the last twenty years (the majority appears as material in the Istro‑Romanian Linguistic Atlas, or IrLA). In addition to Istro‑Romanian terms that the author recorded himself, forms from Istro‑Romanian dictionaries and glossaries are consistently cited.Downloads
