Societa ed economia dei castelli tardo-antichi: un modello archeologico
Abstract
The author discusses different ideas on the late roman hillforts of the north Italian region. Particular attention is paid to the site of Monte Barro above lake Como, which can now be seen to be one of the most important fortresses in the alpine region and where systematic excavation has continued since 1986. The system of fortification is discussed in detail, as the finds. Finally the site is discussed vvith relation to other forts in the region.
