Vorgeschichtliche Höhensiedlungen in der Umgebung von Dole pri Litiji

Abstract

The  article  presents  the  results  of  test  excavations  at  sixelevated settlements in the vicinity of Dole pri Litiji. The fieldresults are presented, along with the finds and the chronologicaldating of the settlements. Gradišče near Hohovica belonged tothe late Neolithic and the Eneolithic, and Grac near Tlaka tothe late Bronze Age. The site of Zagrac near Vodice pri Gabrovkiwas  most  probably  also  inhabited  in  the  late  Bronze  Age.  Amore precise dating is not possible because of the modest andnon-diagnostic finds. Three settlements were inhabited in theIron  Age:  Gradišče  near  Suhadole,  Špičasti  hrib  near  Dole  priLitiji and Kostjavec near Tihaboj.Remains of fortifications werealso discovered at all three settlements
