Končni paleolitik iz Poljšiške cerkve pri Poljšici
Abstract
The author offers a detailed report about the excavations (1965-1968) in the cave of Poljšiška cerkev near Poljšica in the vicinity of Bled. The stratigraphy has not been researched in a final form, as the excavation encompassed only the upper sediments to a depth of three meters. The cave lies in a formerly glacial region and a special feature is a moraine layer (from the last ice age) among the autochthonic strata. The cultural stratum is later than the moraine layer, but its exact age in the late Glacial has not been established. The discovered stone industry belongs to the end of the Paleolithic, although it is little likely that it could also continue to the transition to the Mesolithic.
