Emona v pozni antiki v luči arhitekture
Abstract
The data known to the present from archaeological excavations indicates that Emona achieved the culmination of development in the architectural sense in the 4th century after the reign of Constantine the Great. Its ruin cannot be attributed to the invasion of the Huns in 452. Several structures, such as the early Christian center, were destroyed prior to that, shortly after 423. The troubled time of the 5th century certainly affected Emona, but not to such an extent that it did not continue to exist, although economically and architecturally impoverished, with the remains of its population.
