Skupina poznorimskih grobov iz območja izkopa za stanovanjski blok B-2 v Rabelčji vasi - zahod na Ptuju
Abstract
Archaeological rescue excavations were undertaken in the autumn of 1980 and the spring of 1981 at Rabelčja vas - West by a professional team from the Office for the Protection of Monuments of Maribor, in an area where foundations for a new apartment building (B-2) were being dug. Among the foundations of a previously abandoned earlier Roman structure (a pottery workshop), a group of nine Roman skeleton graves was discovered. The graves were very simply buried in a yellowish loamy layer, without any further overlying strata, and according to the finds they were classified to the late Roman period of the 4th and the 5th centuries.
