Rimske najdbe izpod Miklavškega hriba pri Celju
Abstract
A selection of Roman ceramics is discussed in the article, excavated after the second world war under Miklavški hrib by Celje. The material originates from two points, not very far apart, so that there is a justified presumption that it is a single site. At one of the points dealt with (Sadnikov vrt), the remains of Heracles' sanctuary are today on display. Excavated La Tene pottery, which are not shown here, are also relevant to the question discussed. The present selection well illustrates the expansion of Roman influence in the region of noric Celeia in the 1st century BC, thus at a time prior to the founding of the Roman municipium.
