A model for a historical dictionary

Abstract

This volume presents the life and work of Imre Agustič with an emphasis on his journalistic language, which represented an innovation in the old standard Prekmurje Slovenian. The central part of the book is a model of a historical dictionary with a theoretical introduction and linguistic commentary. The model would be acceptable with certain corrections; semantic and morphological information about the lexemes is deficient because half of the lexemes in the dictionary appear only once in the original material.
