The New Slovenian Etymological Dictionary as a Growing Online Dictionary, 2017–: The 2023 Additions (Designations for ‘Scorpion’, ‘Colorado Beetle’, ‘June Beetle’, and ‘Cockchafer’)

This article presents and publishes entries with a zoonymic headword that will be added to the growing online New Slovenian Etymological Dictionary (2017–) at the end of 2023, accessible on the Fran portal of the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language. The entries cover Slovenian designations for the scorpion, Colorado beetle, June beetle, and cockchafer, to which synonyms for the grubs of the cockchafer are added.
