Abstract

This article presents the local dialect of Bistrica ob Sotli (SLA data point T345), which is part of the
Bizeljsko subdialect of the Kozjansko–Bizeljsko dialect in the Styrian dialect group. It describes its basic
phonetic and accentual characteristics. A phonological description of the local dialect is presented
using dialect material collected by Dragomira Kunej for Slovenian Linguistic Atlas (SLA) in 1981.
