Peer Review Process
After receiving a new text submission, the editorial board considers whether the text is appropriate for publication in the journal. All the articles meeting the basic criteria for publication in the journal De musica disserenda are anonymously reviewed. Two positive reviews are neccesary for publication: two reveiwers receive an article without the name of the author, and the author receives the reviewers‘ feedback without their names as well. Emendations of contens and technical issues might also be suggested by the editor of an individual issue.
The reviewing process might take from eight up to twelve weeks. It is an anonymous process: two reviewers receive an article without the name of its author, and the author does not know who the reviewers are as well. If the article receives two positive reviews, the author is able to emend and correct the text twice: after the review, changes of contents and technical issues are still possible (perhaps recommended by the reviewers); in the process of type-setting, however, only smaller technical changes are possible.
