Organ is an important element of Slovenian cultural history; having a characteristic sound it was known and appreciated by all population strata. In Carniola organs began to appear in the second half of the fifteenth century. The archival documents testify to thirty-four locations with altogether forty-four organs in Carniola up to the end of the 17th century, yet their number must have been higher. According to the preserved data, the largest organ in Carniola until the end of the seventeenth century had nine manual stops.Downloads
