Abstract

The article, consisting of a schema and an introductory explanation, summarises a part of the findings of research done in nine archives of music (one in Celje, one in Komenda, one in Maribor, one in Ptuj, two in Novo mesto, and three in Ljubljana); these findings are important for our knowledge about the sacred music of the 18th and 19th century on Slovenian soil. The subject of the findings are the types and corresponding numbers of various sacred compositions written by composers who – as far as is known today – were never active in the territory of what is Slovenia now; their works have been preserved in the mentioned archives either as handwritten copies or as printed works, in several cases even as both.
