Preliminary report on the late Roman cemetery at Vrajk in Gorenji Mokronog
Abstract
The article presents the excavated section (consisting of20 graves) of a destroyed cemetery from the late Roman period(late Antiquity) at the site of Vrajk in Gorenji Mokronog underTrebelno. The author attributes the graves to the Romanizedindigenous population and dates them to the period at the endof the 6th and the beginning of the 7th centuries. The possibilityis noted of a continuous transition into the early medieval period.This hypothesis derives from results of investigation into thesettlement corresponding to the cemetery and the abundantfolk history.
