Synanthropic vegetation of the city of Kranj (central Slovenia)

The city represents a special environment with characteristic site factors: higher temperature, lower radiation, higher pollution, sealed soils... Studies of synanthropic vegetation in urban environment are rare in Slovenia. The article presents a survey of spontaneous synanthropic vegetation and its distribution in various parts of the city of Kranj. Vegetation is classified into classes: Asplenietea trichomanis, Koelerio-Corynephoretea, Polygono-Poetea, Stellarietea mediae, Artemisietea, Galio-Urticetea and Molinio-Arrhenatheretea.
