Kraški mikrorefugiji odražajo biogeografsko raznolikost vaskularnih rastlinskih vrst

Povzetek

Mikrorefugiji so majhna območja, ki omogočajo vrstam preživetje v spreminjajočih se okoljih. Vrtače v kraških pokrajinah lahko delujejo kot takšna varna zatočišča. Z analizo vegetacijskih podatkov iz severne Madžarske, zbranih na 270 popisnih ploskvah v devetih velikih vrtačah in na planoti izven njih, smo ugotovili, da topografska kompleksnost vrtač omogoča rast široke palete rastlinskih vrst z raznolikimi biogeografskimi značilnostmi. Da bi zaščitili veliko število ogroženih rastlinskih vrst in visoko biotsko raznovrstnost v vrtačah, bi morali v upravljanju in varstvu vrtač upoštevati kompleksne interakcije med topografsko kompleksnostjo, okoljskimi pogoji in razporeditvijo vrst v kraških mikrorefugijih in njihovi okolici.
