Abstract

The study discusses the areas exposed to inundations along the upper and middle course of the Sotla river: the origin, frequency and height of inundations, their influence upon the cultured land, and the role of man in the intensification and decrease of inudations. The map in annex shows the extent of inundations and how areas exposed to inundations are exploited by man.
