Abstract

The study is a part of the research work »Development of the mountain farms in Slovenia«, managed by the Geographical Institute Anton Melik at the Slovene Academy of Arts and Sciences. The main aim of this research work is to analyze the current economic situation of the mountain farms and to show a stage of development and possibilities of directing the farms from the old autarchic to the modern marked oriented type of farming. This study deals with the farms that are to be found in the Kokra valley and in the part of the northern border of the Ljubljana basin.
