Abstract

The essay deals with the results of a research which were obtained by the use of the dendroclimatological method in three landscape's types in Slovenia. The relation between the ring-width (the trees' radial increment) and the climate was analysed on seven tree species: black pine (Pinus nigra) and durmast oak (puercus petraea) in Submediterranean Slovenia; common oak (Quercus rubur), common spruce (Picea abies) and scots pine (Pinus silvestris) in the gravelly terraces of central Slovenia; and common spruce, as well as european larch (Larix europea) in sampling areas at the upper treeline.
