During the period here discussed the glacier had two high stages: the first one in 1978 and until including the year 1980, and the second, less characteristic, in 1984. The lowest stage was reached in 1983. The author of the present study connects the oscillations in the dimensions of the glacier with the oscillations in the medium summer temperatures of the air, and less with the oscillations of the snow cover for which, however, not enough representative documentation is available.
