Izseljevanje zdravnikov in globalizacija: perspektiva tržne logike in politične ekonomije

Avtorja v prispevku obravnavata integracijo zdravstvenega sektorja v globalizirano gospodarstvo z liberalizacijo trgovine z zdravstvenimi storitvami. Vlade in podjetja na svetovnih trgih dela vse bolj povprašujejo po zdravnikih, kar povzroča vse pogostejše selitve zdravnikov iz številnih držav z nizkimi in srednjimi dohodki v države z visokimi dohodki. To množično odhajanje zdravnikov kot posledica svetovne politične ekonomije državam v razvoju preprečuje, da bi privabile in zadržale svoje zdravniške kadre, kar vzbuja skrbi glede učinkov te emigracije na javno zdravje v državah izvora.
