About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The journal Traditiones publishes scientific and professional articles in Slovenian and/or English, covering a wide range of topics in Slovenian and European ethnology, anthropology, folklore, and related fields. The articles are categorized into discussions and views, materials, book reviews, and reports, and are accompanied by Slovenian and English excerpts, keywords, and more detailed summaries in either English or Slovenian.
The Journal Traditiones is included in the following databases: AIO – Anthropological Index Online; ERIH PLUS – European Reference Index for the Humanities; FRANCIS – Institut de l’information scientifique et techniques (CNRS); IBZ – International Bibliography of Periodical Literature in the Humanities and Social Sciences; MLA International Bibliography; Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory; Scopus.

History of a Journal
The journal Traditiones is a peer-reviewed academic publication, founded in 1972 by Institute of Slovenian Ethnology, since 1999 is published also by the Institute of Ethnomusicology (Acta Instituti ethnographiae et Instituti ethnomusicologiae Slovenorum). The Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) was the publisher of the journal until 2004, since then it has been a co-publisher.
