Abstract

The article focuses on Early Medieval archaeological finds from the multi-period archaeological site of Križevska vas and on the oral tradition from that village. The second part of the article is dedicated to Moravška dolina, the wider spatial context of Križevska vas. The interpretation of oral tradition showed that stories about the Turks can suggest earlier, Late Roman and Early Medieval events, while the stories about churches moving from one place to another reflect migration of settlement.
