Analysed is the exclusively masculine origin of Titans in Hesiod’s “Theogony”. The author demonstrates that Titans were generated by Heaven himself without the participation of the Earth, as described by Apollodorus. This masculine, and also impersonal Titans’ quality permits to consider them as a special class of primordial beings.Downloads
