Abstract

/The appearances of mythological beings/.
Mythological creatures may appear in anthropomorphical, zoomorphical, “zero-morphical” forms; there exist also some mixed images of their appearance. Often the same creature, depending on the land where it appears, may have various images. It is also necessary to consider their ability to turn into different animals and objects. The article is an attempt to describe their appearace by means of binary oppositions.
