Abstract

Folk traditions about charms are still alive in Resia. This prompted the author to start thinking about the symbolic function of the conjurer and his or her close relationship with the past and with the after-world. The paper focuses not only on charms from Resia, but also from Venetian Slavia, Friuli and Croatia.
