The author writes about archaeological finds of animal and human skeletons from the territory of Northwestern Slavs. Judging by their position, these skeletons had been buried on the spot in which a building has been erected afterwards. The author therefore uses the name building sacrifices, buried there to appease gods whose world had been disturbed. The region around Meckleburg abounds in rich folklore tradition pertaining to these building sacrifices.Downloads
