The Heideggerian Thing
Keywords:
fetish, thing, transcendental imagination, auto-affection, fourfoldAbstract
This essay is part of a larger project on the history of fetishism. Because fetishism always concerns the relation between mind and thing, it assumes the relatedness of mind and thing. The possibility of the relatedness of mind and thing has been treated in depth by Heidegger. Starting with Being and Time, and then Kant and the Problem of Metaphysics, What Is A Thing?, and the late essay on “The Thing” the essay examines Heidegger on the crucial question of rethinking “mind” and thing.Downloads
