On the In-ex-sistence of the Critique of Political Reason

Abstract

In her paper »On the In-ex-sistence of the Critique of Political Reason«, the author focuses on various ways in which the absence of the »Fourth Critique« takes shape in Kant's later writings dealing with the constitution of the state. In this context, the author takes issue with H. Arendt in her attempts to reconstruct Kant's missing political philosophy. Contrary to H. Arendt's interpretation and Kant's own understanding of his later writings, the author shows limits of theoretical discourse (de)forms event of his time, the French Revolution.
