LOVE AND DEATH
Abstract
Autor tries to sketch a wide range of new modes of historical interpretation between »opera house« concept of cultural history in which definition of culture as high art, literature, music and so on prevails, and the cultural »encounter« model. He discusses some important contributions to new cultural history in which comes clear that as Peter Burke would put it, a wide notion of culture is central. That means that the state, social groups, and even gender or society itself are considered to be culturally constructed.Downloads
