The Scenes of the Two. II. On why love is a black square on white square?

This second part of the article is an attempt to demonstrate why love, as theorised by Badiou, i.e. love as a process of truth, as a scene of /the/ Two, is ultimately a black square on a white ground. By taking this approach we are interested principally in the way in which the process of subjectivation as represented by love manifests itself the minimal distance between the subject and the point of its real being, this being that instance which makes it possible for someone to subjectivise himself/herself and, at the same time, an instance by which the subject itself is composed.Downloads
