Abstract

Presented are (migratory) legends about witches that were recounted by people living in rural parts of eastern Slovenia. Although people also told stories, or memorates, about their own first-hand experience with witches these legends were not a part of the local witchcraft belief system but generally served to only amuse and entertain.
