Abstract

Članek, ki je jemal gradivo iz časopisnih virov (Soča, Glas), opozarja na stike med goriškim ljubiteljskim jezikoslovcem Štefanom Kociančičem (1818–1883) in ruskim jezikoslovcem poljskega rodu J. I. N. Baudouinom de Courtenayjem (1845–1929). Nezaupljivost, ki jo je kazal Kociančič do dela ruskega jezikoslovca, se je po objavi prvih izsledkov spremenila v pohvalo, ki jo je namenil prvim objavam rezultatov Baudouin de Courtenayjevih terenskih raziskav.
