Percepcija skupnega trga med Novo Gorico in Gorico
Keywords:
Nova Gorica; Gorica; common square; urban ethnology; the Slovene accession to the EUAbstract
The following article focuses on a case study of the common square between Nova Gorica and Gorica in the time of Slovenian accession to the EU. The square was built in a strictly protected and monitored area on the border zone between the two towns. Due to the Slovenian accession to the EU in 2004 the square was renovated and gained a completely new notion on the micro and macro scale. Using the well established ethnological/cultural anthropological and historical methodology the author considers as crucial the detailed knowledge of the progress of the events and at the end she valorises different perceptions of the newly renewed square on the locale scale.
