Abstract

We have analyzed structural and dynamic characteristics (production, morphometric parameters, phytocoenotic features and invasive behavior) of two locations of the alien species Pistia stratiotes L. in different types of water bodies, by origin, use and trophic status (a drainage canal and oxbow lake) in the outskirts of Kyiv, as well as have distinguished growth of invasive properties of the species in the conditions of the water bodies of the region.
