Abstract

The US presidential elections and a number of European elections, including the French presidential and legislative elections, give the impression not only of the existence of politically correct thought but, worse, of a collective submission to its suggestion. At the same time, the need for a “thinking of rupture” has been endorsed in many countries (by Sanders in the United States, Corbyn in England, Podemos in Spain, etc.). What allows everyone to live in the common world, on the one hand, and to not give up what makes his/her singularity, on the other? Because it is possible that this singularity, of which, to follow the lessons of psychoanalysis, the symptom is in some manner a sign, is the condition not only for thinking the change, but also for contributing to the renewal of the social bond. This would allow hope for an exit from the religious, the choice of heresy, against the new neoliberal religion.
