Abstract

What is the meaning of meaning for psychoanalysis? In its field this very question leads to a certain paradox which has to consider the relation between psychoanalytical practice and the “spontaneous” production of meaning that essentially affects human beings as beings of language. On this basis the article defines three conceptions of meaning which represent the core of conceptual and practical shifts in Lacanian psychoanalysis.
