Self-cultivation in Asian Philosophies
Keywords:

This paper deals with the problems of self-cultivation methods in Asian philosophical traditions. Body-mind unity was important in most Asian traditions, including Buddhism, Daoism, and Confucianism, which are presented in the article together with some of the thought streams which were critical to the intentional undertaking of self-cultivation. The psycho-physical potentials developed in the self-cultivation process are crucial for a lucid elaboration of philosophical theses and theories and are the cornerstone of the salvific project on which the major Asian philosophical traditions are based.Downloads
