After Heidegger: the Place of sculpture
Keywords:
Heidegger, art, space, sculptureAbstract
Heidegger’s late paper “Art and space” (dating from the 1960's) is an astonishing tour-de-force of insights concerning sculpture and its disclosure of space. In this paper i will unpack and develop Heidegger's insights on the basis of notions and examples of sculpture from the postmodern epoch. Particular attention will be paid to the role of the body as a mediating factor in the relation of sculpture and space.Downloads
