What is antiphilosophy?

In this paper the author attempts to show the weight of the term »antiphilosophy« within framework of Lacan’s later teaching. Despite the rare occasions in which Lacan makes use of this term, antiphilosophy can be understood as a concept which situates Lacan’s thought at the level of the intersection of philosophy and psychoanalysis. In correspondence with the doctrine of matheme and the theory of discourse, one can show that the critical point aimed at philosophy in terms of its negation does not come from outside, but from the inherent splitting of philosophy. It is necessary to think of it in topological terms. Lacan, who always rejected the image of himself as a philosophical thinker, is the best example of philosophy’s inner exteriority.Downloads
