Democratic Invention as a Messianic Event

In the present article the author deals with Agamben’s work on the deadlocks of power and law within the his problematic of modern democracy, as he presented it in his State of Exception, through lefort’s conception of democratic invention and Merleau- Ponty’s concept of flesh (chair). Simultaneously she takes into consideration Agamben’s problematic of subject and demonstrates the possibility of reading Agamben’s subject as the subject of two and consequently she exposes the problematic of transcendence and immanence within Agamben’s as well as Lefort’s work.Downloads
