On the Role of Science in Deleuze
Keywords:
Deleuze, topology, philosophy, science, creationAbstract
In the article, the author considers the role that is given by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari to the three fields of creation: philosophy, science, and art. At first he tries to develop a comparison between the philosophy of Deleuze and topology and on the basis of this comparison to conclude how philosophy and science can be equal (how they can work in a similar way). But from this comparison between philosophy and science, he comes to the conclusion that Deleuze and Guattari’s perception is somewhat limited, as science does not manage to work politically, which is, in the author’s opinion, a key connecting point of the fields of creation. Thus, in the conclusion he finds himself only with a pair, composed of philosophy and art, the only liberating field left in the arsenal.Downloads
